Management at Al Rajhi Bank knew that analytics based cross-selling approach can pay them rich dividends but had doubts about possibility of execution at the bank. Several arguments were presented against starting this initiative which included our data quality is not good enough to start this, our campaign execution capability is lacking, there is a lack of integration between sub-divisions for executing it etc. These arguments were so strong that there existed very little hope for this project.

RedPill Solutions conducted a 2 day innovation workshop for the senior management of ICICI Bank's Investment Banking division in July 2008. We asked them to conduct this workshop just before our annual planning process. The key objective of this workshop was to create a new culture of institutional innovation at the IB division.
During this two day exercise, RedPill helped us think through our mental models, values and beliefs that drive our internal processes, systems and procedures. This laid the foundation for creating a culture of institutional innovation within this division.
